We honor and celebrate the legacy of R. Walter “Walt” Cunningham, an American hero and fellow Texan.

Walt was a former NASA astronaut who flew into space on Apollo 7, the first flight with crew in NASA’s Apollo Program. Throughout his storied career, he won numerous awards, including the NASA Exceptional Service Medal and NASA Distinguished Service Medal. In a recent Washington Post article, Buzz Aldrin, the lunar module pilot for the Apollo 11 mission, wrote:
“Without Walt Cunningham, we would not have walked on the moon. Subsequently, we never would have beaten the Soviets and begun the process to end the Cold War.”
Though Walt recently passed, he will always be remembered by his family, friends, colleagues, and supporters, like us at Allen Boone Humphries Robinson LLP.
