Anne Newtown
Of CounselAllen Boone Humphries Robinson LLPMs. Newtown’s principal area of practice is real estate law. She has represented clients in such matters as commercial leasing of office and retail properties; the purchase and sale of commercial properties; the financing, design, construction, and development of retail projects; the establishment of condominium regimes; the financing, design, construction, development, and sale of high-rise condominiums; real estate secured loans; and a variety of other commercial real estate and development transactions. Additionally, Ms. Newtown has represented a non-profit corporation in connection with a public-private development of a municipal park.
Education and Professional Background. Stephens College (A.A.); University of Colorado (B.A.) Phi Beta Kappa; University of Houston Law Center (J.D. cum laude, 1987) Order of the Barons. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Newtown practiced with Vinson & Elkins, L.L.P., and has served as in-house general counsel of a major developer of high rise office buildings, condominiums, and shopping centers and of a retail real estate investment trust.
