Melissa’s principal area of practice is real estate law. She has represented developers, owners, operators, investors and national and regional tenants in connection with the acquisition, disposition, financing, development and leasing of commercial, residential and mixed-use developments.
Prior to joining the firm, Melissa practiced as a solo practitioner, dedicated to all aspects of commercial and residential real estate development and financing; retail, office and industrial warehouse leasing; and corporate entity formation. Melissa has also served as general counsel for NewQuest Properties in Houston, Texas and practiced law at Jenkens & Gilchrist, P.C. and Kane Russell Coleman & Logan P.C. in Dallas, Texas.
