Chris Jordan has extensive experience representing issuers, borrowers, and underwriters of municipal debt in the financing of a wide range of public and public-private projects. He advises clients on public offerings, limited offerings, and private placements, bringing a practical understanding of transaction structure and execution. While Chris’s recent practice has focused on the financing of road and utility infrastructure, his experience also includes healthcare and education facilities as well as sports venue projects. Chris serves as bond counsel, general counsel, and disclosure counsel to special-purpose governmental entities that finance, construct, and operate road and utility infrastructure throughout Texas. His work includes financings supported by ad valorem taxes as well as alternative revenue sources, including tax-increment revenues and other support strategies.
In addition, Chris represents private developers in the creation of special-purpose districts through counties and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, which frequently involves negotiating agreements with municipalities and other local governmental entities. He is known for his clear, solutions-oriented approach to complex public finance matters and his ability to guide clients efficiently through sophisticated transactions.
