Katie works with special purpose districts, such as municipal utility districts, both in the role of general counsel and bond counsel. These districts provide for the construction and financing of water, sewer, and drainage, road, and park and recreational facilities and other development infrastructure and services, such as fire protection and emergency medical services and law enforcement or security services.
In her practice, Katie represent her clients on public law matters, contract negotiations, state and federal regulatory compliance, elections, administration of public meetings, coordination with cities and other state and local governmental entities and private development partners, and issuance of municipal debt. Katie uses her previous federal regulatory and mergers and acquisitions experience at one of the nation’s premier law firms to find practical, effective solutions for her clients.
