The firm is proud to congratulate its developer clients whose master-planned communities were recognized among RCLCO’s Mid-Year Top 50 Best-Selling Master-Planned Communities in the nation.
This ranking once again underscore the strength and momentum of the Texas housing market. Of the Top 50 communities nationwide, 20 are located in Texas, reaffirming the state’s position as a national leader in large-scale community development.
The Houston metropolitan area continues to set the pace for the country. Houston placed nine communities in the Top 50, accounting for 3,049 home sales—or 16% of all sales among ranked communities nationwide.
These results reflect not only strong demand, but also the long-term planning and investment that go into creating successful, high-quality places to live.
One of the most notable takeaways from this year’s rankings is the continued importance of special districts in enabling large-scale development. Of the 20 Texas communities recognized, only three were developed outside of a special district. This highlights the essential role these financing tools play in delivering the infrastructure required for master-planned communities—while also helping keep housing attainable for Texas families. Special districts help fund and deliver critical infrastructure such as roads, water and wastewater systems, drainage, and public amenities that make these communities possible.
The firm is proud to work alongside developers who are committed to more than just homebuilding—they are investing in the long-term success of communities. From parks and trails to utilities and transportation networks, these projects reflect a thoughtful approach to planning and infrastructure that supports generations of residents.
Congratulations are extended to all of the recognized communities and the teams behind their success. Their work continues to shape the future of Texas and set the standard for master-planned community development nationwide.
