Tax Increment Reinvestment Zones (TIRZ)

A tax increment reinvestment zone (TIRZ) is a tool used by municipalities to finance important public infrastructure improvements. Through a TIRZ, a specific geographic area within the municipality will incrementally increase property and sales and use taxes over a period of years to fund these enhancements.

ABHR has dedicated and experienced attorneys who are adept at creating TIRZs, amending and negotiating agreements with taxing authorities, and serving as bond counsel.
